3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
A circular saw consists of a column, rocker arm, and tiltable saw shaft, and can perform cross-cutting, longitudinal cutting, and angle sawing on workpieces.
Note 1.Hereinafter referred to as "machine tool".
Note 2.The main components of the machine tool and their names are shown in Figure 1.
3.2 cross-cutting
Sawing is a process that cuts the wood along a direction perpendicular to the wood fibers.
3.3 longitudinal ripcutting
Sawing is a process that proceeds parallel to the direction of the wood fibers.
3.4 Angle cutting
A sawing method for machining the angle of a workpiece.
3.5 guide plate fence
A plate-shaped component used to guide the workpiece to move in a certain direction, with relative motion between it and the workpiece during feeding.
