Scope

GB/T 19882.223-2017 is the English-translated version of 自动抄表系统 第223部分:无线通信抄表系统 数据链路层(MAC子层).

GB/T 19882.223-2017 defines the data link layer, specifically the MAC sub-layer, used by wireless communication automatic meter reading systems. It specifies the MAC frame format, the basic channel access model, the services the MAC sub-layer provides and their primitives, and the security certification scheme.

The protocol follows IEEE 802.15.4e, keeping its beacon mechanism, PAN establishment process and CSMA-CA channel access, while leaving out the dormancy mode and GTS.

The document also covers information elements, MAC commands, superframe configuration, beacon generation, MAC data services, constants and PIB attributes, plus a protocol implementation conformance statement.

It applies to mains-powered micro-power wireless data acquisition systems and not to battery-powered devices. It was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 July 2018.

This section GB/T 19882.223 Part 223.

This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

Introduction

The MAC sub-layer defined in this part of ISO 9001 shall be IEEE802.15.4e compliant with beacon mechanism and PAN establishment process that IEEE802.15.4e agreement stipulates, but does not support dormancy mode. At the same time this part supports IEEE802.15.4e agreement The defined channel accesses CSMA-CA mechanisms and enhanced LEs but does not support GTS mode.

1 Scope

This section GB/T 19882 specifies the MAC layer protocol frame format, the basic model of channel access, MAC sub-layer to provide the basic Service and MAC sub-layer of the service primitives and security certification system.

This section applies to power-based micro-power wireless information acquisition system. This section supports only the power supply equipment, does not apply to Battery powered device.
