Scope

GB/T 19812.4-2018 is the English-translated version of 塑料节水灌溉器材 第4部分: 聚乙烯(PE)软管.

GB/T 19812.4-2018 is the Chinese national standard for polyethylene (PE) flexible pipe, the lay-flat hose used in water-saving irrigation, and is part 4 of the five-part GB/T 19812 series on plastic irrigation equipment.

It covers hoses with a nominal pressure of 0.25 MPa, and of 0.15 MPa and below, carrying water at no more than 45 °C. It sets out the marking, in which the code RG is followed by nominal outer diameter x nominal wall thickness and nominal pressure, and the requirements for materials and finished hose, with test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transport and storage.

The referenced methods include internal pressure resistance, instantaneous bursting, tensile properties, carbon black content, oxidation induction time and environmental stress cracking. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 19812 "plastic water-saving irrigation equipment" is divided into five parts.

--- Part 1. Single-wing labyrinth drip irrigation belt;

--- Part 2. Pressure-compensated dripper and drip irrigation pipe;

--- Part 3. In-line drip irrigation pipe and drip irrigation belt;

---Part 4. Polyethylene (PE) hoses;

--- Part 5. Buried drip irrigation pipe. This part is the fourth part of GB/T 19812.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 19812 specifies the terms and definitions, markings, materials, etc. for polyethylene (PE) hoses for irrigation (hereinafter referred to as hoses). Requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

This part is applicable to irrigation polyethylene (PE) hoses with a nominal pressure of 0.25MPa and 0.15MPa and below. The temperature of the conveying medium is not exceeded. Over 45 °C.
