Foreword

GB/T 19725 "Safety requirements and tests of portable brush cutters and lawn mowers for agricultural and forestry machinery" is divided into the following two parts.

--- Part 1. Side-mounted power machinery;

--- Part 2. Piggyback power machinery.

This part is Part 2 of GB/T 19725.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces GB 19725.2-2014 "Safety requirements and tests of portable brush cutters and lawn mowers for agricultural and forestry machinery. Part 2.

"Knapsack Power Machinery", the main technical content has not changed compared with GB 19725.2-2014.

The translation method used in this section is equivalent to the adoption of ISO 11806-2..2011 "Safety Requirements and Trials for Portable Brushcutters and Lawnmowers for Agriculture and Forestry Machinery"

Test Part 2. Piggyback Power Machinery ".

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 19725 specifies a portable piggyback power that uses an internal combustion engine as the power source and transmits mechanical power to the cutting accessory

Safety requirements and test methods for the design, structure and use of brush cutters and lawn mowers. This section proposes to eliminate or reduce the use of integral

The methods of various hazards produced by the machine stipulate the requirements of the relevant materials for safe operation provided by the manufacturer.

The relevant chapters of this part and part 1 (see 4.1) refer to the normal use and reasonable, foreseeable manufacturer misuse of the whole machine

All serious hazards, dangerous situations and serious hazard events related to the whole machine, except for the whole-body vibration hazard caused by the backpack-type power plant.

Note 1. There is currently no standard test procedure for measuring the whole body vibration caused by the piggyback power plant.

Note 2. For a list of serious hazards, see Appendix A and Appendix C of GB/T 19725.1-2020.

This section applies to products produced after its implementation.

This section does not apply to the installation of non-integral metal blade structure of the machine, such as chain swing or knife blade.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 19725.1-2020 and the following apply to this document.

Note. Figure 1 gives examples of brush cutters with knapsack power sources that fall within the scope of this section.

3.1

Implement appliance

A device with a drive shaft sleeve combination, a cutting accessory and its safety cover, and a handle is installed.

3.2

Machine

A complete brush cutter (or lawn mower), including a backpack-type power unit and machinery.
