1 Scope
This standard specifies the preparation, separation procedures and quality requirements for kerogen separation equipment, equipment, reagents, samples.
This standard applies to the kerogen separation of sedimentary rock samples and also to the separation of insoluble organic matter in modern sediments.
2 principle
The kerogen separation uses chemical and physical methods to remove inorganic minerals and chloroform soluble organic matter in the rock, allowing other organic matter to be enriched.
3 instruments and equipment
3.1 acid reaction device
made of hydrofluoric acid corrosion material.
3.2 heating mixing device
can be heated to about 90 °C, adjustable speed.
3.3 Centrifuge
the maximum speed of not less than 4000r/min, with a volume of about 400mL, 50mL, 10mL of the centrifuge tube.

the maximum temperature of not less than.200 °C.
3.5 refrigerator
freezing temperature below -5 °C.
3.6 Ultrasonic cleaner or oscillator
