Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document supersedes GB/T 18574-2008 "Urban Rail Transit Passenger Service Signs" and GB/T 5845.5-1986 "Urban Public Transportation..." The "Underground Railway Signs" standard, compared with GB/T 18574-2008 and GB/T 5845.5-1986, has undergone structural adjustments and editorial changes. In addition, the main technological changes are as follows:
a) The scope of application of the standard has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of GB/T 5845.5-1986, and Chapter 1 of GB/T 18574-2008);
b) General requirements for digital signs have been added (see 4.20);
c) Added regulations for station and platform numbering (see 5.1.4);
d) The principle of adding digital signage for passenger services has been added (see 5.1.8);
e) The principle of adding interconnectivity indicators has been added (see 5.1.9);

4 General Requirements
4.1 Urban rail transit signs (hereinafter referred to as "signs") shall be standardized, coordinated, clear, unambiguous, easily identifiable, and easy to understand, and shall comply with the provisions of GB 55033. The logo can incorporate new technologies as needed.
4.2 The design of the logo information elements shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 20501 (all parts).
4.3 Logos should primarily use graphic symbols, which may be supplemented with text, but text should not be added within graphic symbols; when using graphic symbols, recognizability should be considered. When the information is highly comprehensible, graphic symbols may be used alone; for information without graphic symbols, text may be used directly.
4.4 The information elements of the combined logo should be sorted according to the importance of the information content.
4.5 The graphic symbols in the mark shall conform to GB/T 2893 (all parts), GB 2894, GB/T 10001 (all parts) and The provisions of GB 13495.1.
4.6 When the logo is designed separately, the graphic symbols shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 2893 (all parts), GB/T 16900 and GB/T 16903.
4.7 The direction of directional graphic symbols should be consistent with the actual scene.
4.8 The Chinese characters in the logo shall conform to the "General Standard Chinese Characters Table", and the words, phrases and abbreviations shall be standardized.
4.9 Numbers in the markings should be Arabic numerals.
4.10 The font of the Chinese characters in the logo should be consistent, preferably using a boldface font. The background color of the logo should have a strong contrast with the colors used for the graphic symbols and text. Ratio.
4.11 The Roman spelling of place names complies with the provisions of the "Regulations on the Administration of Place Names".
4.12 Except for place names, all other text in the sign should be in both Chinese and English; other languages may be added as needed. 4.13 The sign should be placed in a conspicuous location that is not obstructed by other objects.
4.14 Signs with the same function should be designed uniformly, and signs at the same location should be set together.
5.1 General Rules
5.1.1 Passenger service signs should include directional signs, location signs, and comprehensive information signs. See the example of a combination of information elements for passenger service signs. See Appendix A for examples of urban rail transit signs, and Appendix B for illustrations.
5.1.2 Passenger service signs should provide passengers with necessary guidance and prompts.
5.1.3 Passenger service signs should use route colors to distinguish different routes.
5.1.4 Station numbers may be added to passenger service signs. For stations with complex environments, platform numbers may be set.
5.1.5 Passenger service signs can use different colors to distinguish between boarding guidance signs and exit guidance signs.
5.1.6 Passenger service signs should be designed and set up reasonably according to the regional functions and passenger needs.
5.1.7 The height and dimensions of graphic symbols in passenger service signs shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 20501.1.
5.1.8 Digital passenger service signs can be integrated with passenger information systems to display information. Digital passenger service signs can be electronic. Digital signage for passenger services should be displayed in various forms, including screens, audio-visual displays, and electronic displays. 5.2.1 General Rules

5.2.3.3 The directional signs for passenger service centers, automatic ticket vending machines, and ticket inspection (verification) facilities may be set up according to actual operational needs.
5.2.4 Boarding and Transfer Guidance Signs
5.2.4.1 The information elements of boarding and transfer guidance signs should include arrow symbols, route names and route colors, and preferably text.
5.2.4.2 Boarding guidance signs should be placed in appropriate locations at entrances/exits, passageways, station halls, and other areas leading to the platform. Transfer guidance signs should... 5.2.6.2 Exit directional signs should be placed in the passageway leading to the entrance and exit.
5.3.1 Station entrance location signs
5.3.1.1 The information elements of the station entrance location signage should include the urban rail transit (or subway) graphic symbol, station name, line name, and exit information. The entrance number should preferably include the logo of the urban rail transit operator, and various information can be combined as needed.
5.3.1.2 The station entrance location sign should be placed in a prominent position at the station entrance.

5.3.2 Location markings for service equipment and facilities
5.3.2.1 The information elements for service facility location signs should include graphic symbols and text.

5.4.1 General Rules
5.4.1.1 Comprehensive information signs should be placed in locations suitable for passengers to stop and read, and the size and height of the information elements should be appropriate for passengers. read.

5.4.6 Route Diagram

6.1 General Rules
6.1.1 Vehicle markings are divided into exterior markings and interior markings.
6.1.2 The method of fixing the sign should preferably be a combination of printing, spraying and pasting. If pasting is used, the surface should be covered with a glossy film that prevents fading. 7.1 General Rules

7.2 Production Safety Signs

8 Interval markers
