Scope
GB/T 1819.9-2017 is the English-translated version of 锡精矿化学分析方法 第9部分:三氧化钨量的测定 硫氰酸盐分光光度法.
GB/T 1819.9-2017 is Part 9 of the Chinese national methods for the chemical analysis of tin concentrates and determines their tungsten trioxide content by thiocyanate spectrophotometry, over a range of 0.050% to 35.00%.
The sample is fused with sodium peroxide and leached with water to separate tungsten from most other metals; in hydrochloric acid medium, titanium trichloride reduces tungsten to the pentavalent state, which forms a yellow complex with thiocyanate whose absorbance is measured at 400 nm.
The standard lists the amounts of tin, silicon, antimony, lead, iron and other elements that do not interfere, and specifies the reagents, the tungsten trioxide standard solutions, the working curves, precision and the test report.
It replaces GB/T 1819.9-2004, was issued on 29 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.

1 Scope
This section GB/T 1819 specifies the determination of tin oxide content of tungsten oxide.
This section applies to the determination of the amount of tungsten trioxide in tin concentrate. Measurement range. 0.050% ~ 35.00%.
2 Method summary
The sample was melted with sodium peroxide and leached with water to separate the tungsten from most of the metal. In hydrochloric acid medium, with titanium trichloride tungsten also The original pentavalent and thiocyanate generated yellow complex, measured at a spectrophotometer wavelength of 400nm absorbance.
Not more than 40 mg tin, 12 mg silicon, 6 mg antimony, 3 mg lead, 2 mg iron, 1 mg bismuth, 1 mg phosphorus, 1 mg arsenic, 0.5mg manganese, 0.2mg fluorine, 0.1mg copper does not interfere with the determination.
