Scope

GB/T 1819.10-2017 is the English-translated version of 锡精矿化学分析方法 第10部分:硫量的测定 高频感应炉燃烧红外吸收法和碘酸钾滴定法.

GB/T 1819.10-2017 is Part 10 of the Chinese methods for the chemical analysis of tin concentrates and determines their sulfur content.

Method 1, high-frequency induction furnace combustion with infrared absorption, covers 0.050 % to 0.50 % sulfur: the sample burns in an oxygen stream with a flux and the sulfur dioxide is measured by its absorption of infrared energy against standard samples.

Method 2, potassium iodate titration, covers more than 0.50 % up to 20.00 %. The text lists the fluxes, reagents, carrier and power gases, ceramic crucibles and the carbon-sulfur analyser with its sensitivity and precision requirements.

It is used by laboratories that test tin concentrates. It replaces GB/T 1819.10-2004, was issued on 29 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.

This section GB/T 1819 Part 10.

This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This Part Replaces GB/T 1819.10-2004 "Methods for chemical analysis of tin concentrates Determination of sulfur content High-frequency infrared absorption method and combustion - Potassium iodate titration ", this part compared with GB/T 1819.10-2004, the main technical changes are as follows.

Method 1 High-frequency induction furnace combustion infrared absorption method --- The lower limit of determination from the original "0.0010%" revised "0.050%";

--- The use of flux has been modified;

--- Modify the precision part;

--- Increase the test report terms.

Method 2 potassium iodate titration --- The upper limit of measurement will be changed from "10.00%" to "20.00%";

--- Standard calibration standard titration solution from the original "lead sulfate" to "sulfur standard substance";

--- Standard titration solution concentration from the original "0.01mol/L and 0.02mol/L" to "0.03mol/L";

--- Modify the precision part;

--- Increase the test report terms.

This part replaces the standards previously issued as.

--- GB/T 1829-1979;

--- GB/T 1819.10-2004.
