Scope

GB/T 1819.13-2017 is the English-translated version of 锡精矿化学分析方法 第13部分:氧化镁、氧化钙量的测定 火焰原子吸收光谱法.

GB/T 1819.13-2017 is Part 13 of the Chinese method series for the chemical analysis of tin concentrates, and determines magnesium oxide and calcium oxide by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.

It covers magnesium oxide from 0.010% to 3.50% and calcium oxide from 0.050% to 15.00%.

The sample is decomposed with hydrochloric, nitric, hydrofluoric and perchloric acids, strontium chloride and lanthanum chloride suppress interfering elements, and the absorbance is read in an air-acetylene flame at 285.2 nm for magnesium oxide and 422.6 nm for calcium oxide.

The standard lists the reagents and the preparation of the standard stock and working solutions. It is used by laboratories testing tin concentrates. It replaces GB/T 1819.13-2004, was issued on 29 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.
