1 Scope
This method specifies the method for determination of yttrium oxide and europium europium oxide content.
This method is applicable to the determination of the amount of europium oxide, yttrium oxide and europium. Measurement range (mass fraction). 2.00% - 8.00%.
2 principle of the method
Samples with hydrochloric acid dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid medium, direct excitation of argon plasma light source, subjected to spectral measurement, with the correction matrix matching method
Effect of matrix on the determination.
3 Reagents
3.1
hydrochloric acid (1 + 1), pure class distinctions.
3.2
hydrochloric acid (1 + 19), pure class distinctions.
3.3
Argon ((mass fraction) > 99.99%).
3.4 yttrium oxide stock solution
Weigh 0.1000g 1h at 900 °C burning yttrium oxide (REO (mass fraction) > 99.9%, Y2O3/REO (Mass fraction) > 99.99%), placed in 100mL beaker, add 10mL of hydrochloric acid (1 + 1), low temperature dissolved and transferred to 100mL volumetric flask
Diluted with water to volume, and mix. 1mL solution containing 1mg yttrium oxide.
3.5 europium oxide stock solution
Weigh 0.1000g 1h at 900 °C burning of europium oxide (REO (mass fraction) > 99.9%, Eu2O3 /
REO (mass fraction) > 99.99%), placed in 100mL beaker, add 10mL of hydrochloric acid (1 + 1), low temperature dissolved and transferred to 100mL
Volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. 1mL solution containing 1mg europium oxide. This solution was then washed with hydrochloric acid (3.2) diluted to
1mL containing 0.1mg standard solution of europium oxide.
4 Instrument
4.1
Inductively coupled plasma spectrometer with a resolution of < 0.006nm (200nm office).
4.2 source
argon plasma light source.
5 Sample
The sample was calcined at 900 °C 1h, placed in a desiccator, cooled to room temperature, and immediately weighed.
Step 6 Analysis
6.1 Preparation of test solution analysis
6.1.1
Accurately weigh 0.1000g sample (5) in 50mL beaker, moistened with water, was added 10mL of hydrochloric acid (3.1), and dissolved at a low temperature
Cooled to room temperature and transferred to 100mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix.
6.1.2
Pipette 10.00mL test solution (6.1.1) added 9mL hydrochloric acid (3.1) in 100mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix.
Tested.
6.2 preparation of standard solution
The rare earth oxide stock solution (3.4 to 3.5) in Table 1 were transferred to 100mL volumetric flask (3.2) diluted to the mark with hydrochloric acid
Degree of mixing, to prepare the standard solution.
