Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 18041-2000 "Terminology for Civil Aviation Cargo Transportation". Compared with GB/T 18041-2000, the only differences are in the structural design. Aside from integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Changes were made to "Air Cargo", "Public Air Transport Enterprise", "Airline", "Cargo Airlines", "Actual Carrier", and "Cargo Sales". 1 Scope

GB/T 18041-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the vocabulary of air freight - the air waybill and the parties to it, the booking and the capacity, the handling, the special cargo from dangerous goods to live animals, and the terms of a claim for damage or delay. It replaces GB/T 18041-2000 after twenty-five years, under the Civil Aviation Administration, with the passenger vocabulary GB/T 18764-2026. It was issued on 31 December 2025 and has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 18041-2000. This page is published from the official record of the 2025 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.

This document defines the terminology related to cargo transportation in the civil aviation sector. This document applies to activities related to the production, management, research, and teaching of public air cargo transportation.
