Scope

GB/T 1776-2025 is the English-translated version of 超细铂粉.

GB/T 1776-2025 is the Chinese national standard on superfine platinum powder, in the field of metallurgy. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 29 August 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 March 2026. Classification: ICS 77.150.99, CCS H68. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 1776-2009 "Ultrafine Platinum Powder". Compared with GB/T 1776-2009, the only changes are structural adjustments and editorial modifications. In addition, the main technological changes are as follows:

a) Added terms and definitions for ultrafine platinum powder (see 3.1);

b) The product classification for ultrafine platinum powder has been expanded, adding grades PPt-

1.0 and PPt-6.0 (see 4.1);

c) Product markings for ultrafine platinum powder have been added (see 4.2);

d) The impurity elements "Ru, Mn, Cr, Mg, Zn, Bi" and their requirements were added to the chemical composition table, and the impurity information in the chemical composition table was modified. Requirements for elements "Pd, Rh, Ir, Au, Al, Si" (see 5.1,

3.2 of the.2009 edition);

e) Added specific surface area range, loose density range, tapped density range, and particle size distribution (D10, D50) for PPt-

1.0 and PPt-6.0. The specific surface area range for PPT-3.0 (D90) has been changed from "

3.5 m^2/g ~ 7 m^2/g" to... "4.0m^2/g~15.0m^2/g" (see 5.2,

3.2 in the.2009 edition);

f) Technical requirements and test methods for the moisture content and burn-off rate of ultrafine platinum powder have been added (see 5.2, 6.6, and 6.7);

g) The sampling method and sample size for the ultrafine platinum powder test have been changed (see 7.4,
