Scope

GB/T 1773-2025 is the English-translated version of 片状银粉.

GB/T 1773-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering silver ground into flakes rather than spheres for electronic pastes, graded in four sizes by median diameter — the silver content and the impurity limits, widened in this edition, the particle size distribution at D10, D50 and D90, the specific surface area, the apparent and tap densities, the loss on ignition, and the moisture, which this edition measures directly rather than inferring it from burn-off. It replaces GB/T 1773-2008, under the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. In force from 1 March 2026. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 March 2026, replacing GB/T 1773-2008.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 1773-2008 "Flake Silver Powder". Compared with GB/T 1773-2008, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes.

In addition, the main technological changes are as follows.

a) Added grades PAg-S6.0 and PAg-S10.0 for flake silver powder, and deleted grade PAg-S8 (see 4.1, 3.1 in the 2008 edition);

b) Product labeling has been changed (see 4.2, 3.1 of the 2008 edition);

c) Limits for the chemical impurity elements "Ru, Ca, Mn, Cr, Mg, Zn, Co" have been added (see 5.1);

d) The particle size distribution, specific surface area, loose density, tapped density, loss on burn, and moisture content range of PAg-S6.0 and PAg-S10.0 were increased. Enclosure (see 5.2);

e) The moisture content test method has been changed, replacing "loss on burn" with "moisture content" (see 6.7, 4.6 of the 2008 edition);

f) The inspection and acceptance procedures for flake silver powder have been changed (see 7.1, 5.1 in the 2008 edition);

g) Sampling requirements for testing flake silver powder have been added (see 7.4);

h) The arbitration sampling method for flake silver powder has been changed (see 7.5, 5.1.2 of the 2008 edition);

i) Rounding of test results has been added, and the rounded value comparison method is used for determination (see 7.6.1);

j) Changes were made to the markings, packaging, shipping, storage, and accompanying documentation (see 8.3, 6.2 of the 2008 edition);
