Scope

GB/T 17603-2017 is the English-translated version of 光解性塑料户外暴露试验方法.

GB/T 17603-2017 sets out how to carry out outdoor exposure tests on photodegradable plastics, so that their degradation under outdoor conditions can be evaluated.

It covers the principle of the test, based on exposing the plastic to the sun and in particular to solar ultraviolet radiation over a defined exposure cycle, the test apparatus including narrowband radiometers, specimen preparation, the test steps and the content of the test report.

Exposed specimens are compared with stored specimens kept under stable conditions, and reference materials of known performance can be exposed alongside them. The normative references include the tensile property tests of the GB/T 1040 series and the determination of molecular mass by size-exclusion chromatography to ISO 16014.

It replaces GB/T 17603-1998, was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 July 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 17603-1998 "photolytic plastic outdoor exposure test method", compared with GB/T 17603-1998, the main The technical changes are as follows.

--- Modify the "scope" chapter of the relevant content (see Chapter 1, 1998 edition of Chapter 1);

--- Modify the "Normative references" chapter of the reference file, the relevant documents with our latest document instead (see Chapter 2, 1998 edition of Chapter 2);

--- "Sunlight" to "sun", "exposure" was revised to "exposure cycle";

--- Modify the term "save sample" to "store sample" and modify its definition (see 3.2, 1998 version 3.2);

--- "Meaning" revised as "principle", modified the "principle" chapter of the content (see Chapter 4, 1998 edition of Chapter 4), with "too Yang ultraviolet radiation exposure cycle "instead of" solar radiation exposure period ";

--- Modify the "experimental device" chapter of the content (see Chapter 5, 1998 edition of Chapter 5);

--- Revised "Radiometer" as "Radiometer", deleted the use of total radiometers in the test device "Radiometer", "Narrowband" repair Change to "narrowband" (see 5.3, 1998 version 5.3);

--- Modify "Forming and Preparation" to "Specimen Preparation" and delete the requirements for thickness dimensions in "Specimen Preparation" (see Chapter 6, 1998 edition of Chapter 6);

--- Modify the "test steps" chapter of the content, adding a detailed description of the requirements of the test steps (see Chapter 7, 1998 Version of Chapter 7);

--- Modify the "test report" chapter of the content (see Chapter 8, 1998 edition of Chapter 8).

1 Scope
