Scope
GB/T 17371-2008 is the English-translated version of 硅酸盐复合绝热涂料.
GB/T 17371-2008 is the Chinese national standard on silicate compound plaster for thermal insulation, in the field of construction materials and building. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 30 June 2008 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 April 2009. Classification: ICS 91.120.10, CCS Q25. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 17371-1998 "Portland composite insulation coating." This standard 17371-1998 major changes compared to GB/T as follows:
--- Modify part references;
--- The classification and labeling of superior products, first-class goods and qualified products to modify the product by dry density into A, B, C three grades;
--- Modify the technical specifications C grades volumetric shrinkage;
--- The "chloride ion content" to "corrosion of austenitic stainless steel";
--- Delete other technical performance indicators in the "non-flammable", "RADIOACTIVE";
--- Revised test methods for volumetric shrinkage. Please note that some of the content of this standard may involve patents, the issuing authority of this standard should not bear the responsibility to identify these patents. The standard proposed by China Building Materials Federation. This standard by the National Standardization Committee insulating material (SAC/TC191) centralized.
