Scope
GB/T 16427-2018 is the English-translated version of 粉尘层电阻率测定方法.
GB/T 16427-2018 is the Chinese national method for measuring the electrical resistivity of a layer of dust.
It describes the test device, a tank made of an insulating base plate, two stainless steel electrodes and two insulating end bars, together with the measuring circuit, the preparation and moisture condition of the sample, the measurement procedure, the safety protection to observe and the content of the test report.
It defines dust, conductive and non-conductive dust and resistivity, drawing on the dust explosion terminology of GB/T 15604. The method applies to general industrial dusts and not to explosives or substances that can burn without oxygen from the air.
It replaces GB/T 16427-1996, was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 16427-1996 "Determination method of dust layer resistivity", compared with GB/T 16427-1996, the main technology The changes are as follows.
--- Revised scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 1996 edition);
--- Added a chapter on normative references (see Chapter 2);
--- Revised the definition of dust (see 3.1, 2.1 of the 1996 edition);
---Modified the contents of the measurement circuit (see 4.2, 3.2 of the 1996 edition);
--- Modified the moisture requirements of the sample (see 5.2, 4.2 of the 1996 edition);
--- Added security protection (see Chapter 7).
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test device, sample, measurement procedure, safety protection and test report for the determination of the resistivity of the dust layer.
This standard applies to general industrial dust.
This standard does not apply to explosives or substances that can be burned without relying on oxygen in the air.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 15604 apply to this document.
3.1 Dust
Fine solid particles.
3.2 Conductive dust
Dust having a resistivity equal to or less than 10^3 ohm·m.
3.3 Non-conductive dust
Dust with a resistivity greater than 10^3 ohm·m.
3.4 Resistivity
The minimum resistance value of the dust layer measured between the two areas of the contact area specified by the dust and the unit length.
4 Test device
4.1 Determination test tank
The test chamber is composed of an insulating bottom plate, two stainless steel electrodes placed thereon and two insulated end strips, as shown in FIG. Stainless steel Pole size. length (l) 100mm, width (b) 20mm ~ 40mm, height (h) 10mm. Two insulation End bar size. length (l2) 80mm, width (b1) 10mm, height (h1) 10mm. The thickness of the insulating bottom plate is 5mm~10mm, and the material is PTFE (or glass).
