Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 15759-1995 "Requirements for the Design and Use of Human Body Templates" and GB/T 14779-1993 "Seated Human Body Templates" Functional design requirements". This document is mainly revised with GB/T 15759-1995 and integrates the contents of GB/T 14779-1993.and Compared with GB/T 15759-1995, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

1 Scope

GB/T 15759-2023 is the Chinese national standard on design and requirements for the body templates, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 6 August 2023 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 March 2024. Classification: ICS 13.180, CCS A25. This document specifies the design requirements and usage requirements for adult human body templates for four height classes. This document is applicable to the ergonomic assistance of products or systems such as work spaces, operating positions, seats, and control devices in standing and sitting postures.
