1 Scope

GB/T 15670.2-2017 is the Chinese national standard on toxicological test methods for pesticides registration - part 2: acute oral toxicity test - horn's method, in the field of agriculture. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 12 July 2017 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 February 2018. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Acute oral toxicity of acuteoraltoxicity The effects of health damage to animals in the short term after one or more oral administration of the test animal substance within 24 hours.

3.2 Dose dose The amount of test substance given is expressed as mass of test article received per unit body weight of test animal (mg/kg body weight).
