1 Scope

This document specifies the materials, product classification, specifications, dimensions and deviations of buried polyethylene (PE) pipe fittings for gas (hereinafter referred to as "pipe fittings"):

This document, together with other parts of GB/T 15558, is applicable to operating temperatures between -20°C~40°C and maximum operating pressure (MOP)

This document is applicable to underground polyethylene for gas use with a nominal outer diameter of 16mm~800mm made of PE100 and PE80 grade compounds:

Note 1: When transporting artificial coal gas and liquefied petroleum gas, it is necessary to consider the impact of other components (such as aromatic hydrocarbons and condensate) present in the gas on the performance of the pipe fittings at a certain concentration:

Note 2: The maximum working pressure of the pipeline system is related to the working temperature and the material's rapid crack propagation resistance (RCP) critical pressure, see GB/T 15558:1-2023
