GB/T 15042-2008 is the English-translated version of 灯用附件放电灯(管形荧光灯除外)用镇流器性能要求.

GB/T 15042-2008 — This standard specifies the high-pressure mercury lamp, low pressure sodium lamp, high pressure sodium and metal halide lamps and other discharge lamp ballast performance requirements.

Chapter 12 ~ Chapter 15 specific types of ballasts are provided specific requirements. Discussed in this standard is to use the 50H or 60Hz, 1000V ac power inductive discharge lamp ballasts, lamp rated power, size and characteristics of the lamp shall comply with the appropriate provisions of the standard IEC.

Note 1: For some types of discharge lamp requires the use of triggers. Note 2: For use with Shenlian capacitor or a capacitor in series with the ballast, its request is still being studied.
