GB/T 14896, "Terminology for Special Processing Machine Tools," is my country's terminology standard for the field of special processing machine tools, regulating the terminology of special processing machine tools. Standardize the use of vocabulary and terminology in the standards to ensure that people have a common understanding of the main concepts in the standards for special processing machine tools. GB/T 14896, "Terminology for Special Processing Machine Tools," is the general outline for terminology related to special processing machine tools, based on the sub-specialties within the field. It is proposed to consist of 13 parts.

3 Processing Method
3.1 Electroforming; EF A processing method that uses the principle of cathodic electrochemical deposition to manufacture structures or parts. [Source: GB/T 14896.1-2025, 3.4]
Note. "Electrochemical deposition" is hereinafter referred to as "electrodeposition".
3.2 Electroforming is an electroforming method in which both the anode and cathode remain stationary during the electrodeposition process.
3.3 Electroforming is a method that utilizes the scanning motion of the anode.
3.4 Electroforming is an electroforming method in which parallel-placed cathodes and/or anodes are in a reciprocating linear motion during the electrodeposition process.
3.5 Electroforming is an electroforming method in which the cathode is in a rotating state during the electrodeposition process.
