Foreword

This standard replaces GB/T 14693-1993 "NDT weld symbol." This standard and GB/T 14693-1993 compared to the main changes are as follows:

--- Modify the standard name;

--- To modify and extend the scope (see Chapter 1);

--- Amendments and additions to the normative references (see Chapter 2);

--- Increased terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

--- Modifications and adjustments NDT Symbol elements (1993 Edition Chapter 3, Chapter 4 of this edition);

--- Adjust the general rules (1993 version

4.1 and 4.2, Chapter 5 of this edition);

--- Adjust the auxiliary symbol (1993 version 4.3, Chapter 6 of this edition);

--- Adjust the technical requirements, specifications and reference standards (1993 version 4.4, this version of Chapter 7);

--- Adjust the area, the position and orientation of non-destructive testing (the 1993 version of the 4.5,

4.6 and 4.7, Chapter 8 of this edition). The standard proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation. 3 Terms and Definitions

GB/T 12604, the terms and definitions GB/T 13361 and GB/T 20737 apply to this standard established.

4 NDT Symbol elements

4.1 Overview NDT symbol consists of the following elements.

a) the baseline;

c) detection method letter identification code;

d) detection range and number of sampling;

e) auxiliary symbol; Tail

f) baseline (technical conditions, specifications or standards). NDT symbol pattern painting shall conform to GB/T 4457.2, the dimensions should be consistent with GB/T 4458.4 and GB/T 16675.2 requirements.
