GB/T 12604.11-2015 is the English-translated version of 无损检测术语 X射线数字成像检测.

GB/T 12604.11-2015 is the part of the Chinese non-destructive testing terminology series that defines the terms used in X-ray digital radioscopic testing, and applies to that testing method.

Its 30 terms, each given with the English equivalent printed in the standard, cover digital radiography and its systems, real-time imaging, motionless and motorial detection, and the detectors themselves: digital detectors, linear detector arrays (LDA), flat panel detectors (FPD) and image intensifiers.

Further terms define the image and its quality: pixels and defective pixels, original image and image processing, contrast, resolution in line pairs per millimetre, grayscale, image unsharpness with its inherent, geometric and movement components, signal to noise ratio, detector dynamic range, modulation transfer function and system resolution.

The remaining terms cover system correction and the calibration tools - reference blocks, geometrical testers and duplex wire image quality indicators - and the document closes with a bibliography and Chinese and English indexes.
