GB/T 10609.1-2008 fixes what the title block of a technical drawing must contain and how it is drawn.
It requires a title block on every drawing, placed where GB/T 14689 directs, and sets out its areas one by one: the change area with the name of the changer and the date, the signature area for design, review, process, standardization and approval, the material, stage, weight, scale and sheet-numbering entries, the projection identification symbols for the first-angle and third-angle methods, and the name and code area carrying the organization name, the drawing name and the drawing code.
Clause 5 covers size and format and an informative Appendix A gives an example. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 7408-2005 and GB/T 14691. It replaces GB 10609.1-1989, was issued on 26 June 2008 and has applied since 1 January 2009.
