Scope

GB/T 14532-2026 is the English-translated version of 办公家具木制柜、架.

This standard covers wooden cabinets and racks used in office locations. It defines terms for these products, provides a classification, and sets out requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and the rules for marking, instructions for use, packaging, transportation, and storage.

Furniture manufacturers, office fit-out contractors, purchasing departments, quality inspectors, and testing laboratories can use it to specify and verify filing cabinets, storage units, and shelving. As a recommended national standard (GB/T), it is voluntary unless a contract or tender requires it. It was prepared under the China National Light Industry Council.

This edition replaces GB/T 14532-2017, so suppliers whose specifications cite the 2017 edition should check which version applies to their contracts. It belongs to the family of office furniture standards, and the standard for reading tables and chairs is a related document. It takes effect on 1 April 2027.

Foreword

GB/T 14532-2026 is a recommended national standard (GB/T) of the People's Republic of China, issued on 28 September 2026 by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, with effect from 1 April 2027.

This edition replaces GB/T 14532-2017.

It is under the responsibility of the China National Light Industry Council.
