This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. This standard is GB/T 14369-1993 "acoustic underwater acoustic material sample insertion loss and echo reduction measuring method" amendment. The standards are compared with the GB/T 14369-1993 The following major changes.

This standard specifies the pulse tube method, free-field method and the pressure tank near field measurement of underwater acoustic material sample insertion loss and acoustic echo reduction Measurement methods, measurement conditions factor, measuring apparatus and measurement uncertainty. This standard applies to the sound of water sample materials and components (hereinafter referred to as sample) insertion loss, echo reduction and measuring the absorption coefficient, wherein the pulse Red tube method for measuring a small sample of the free-field method and the pressure tank near-field method is suitable for measuring large sample of different frequency bands.

3 Terms and Definitions
GB/T 3947-1996 and defined the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Pulse tube pulsetube In which the emission, propagation and reception of acoustic pulses, for measuring the acoustic characteristics of the sample material or component parameters of water-filled rigid walled gold Metal tube.
