Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. This standard replaces GB/T 14108-1993 "A marine magnetic compass level general technical conditions." This standard compared with GB/T 14108-1993, there are the following changes.

1 Scope

GB/T 14108-2011 is the Chinese national standard on marine magnetic compass of class a, in the field of shipbuilding and marine structures. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 30 December 2011 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 June 2012. Classification: ICS 47.020.70, CCS U65. This standard specifies the class A marine magnetic compass, binnacle and azimuth reading device (referred magnetic compass and accessories) requirements, test methods, test Rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage and so on. This standard applies to direct reading of the reflection type, transmission type and a projection type liquid magnetic compass navigation. This standard does not apply to.

a) dry dial magnetic compass;
