Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. This standard replaces GB/T 10104-1995 "marine magnetic compass class B General technical requirements." This standard compared with GB/T 10104-1995, there are the following changes.
--- Modify the "Range" and applicable Not applicable contents (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1, 1995 edition);
--- Increasing the term "orientation reader" and "magnetic compass" (see Chapter 3);
--- Added "impermanence gimbal plate Luo longitude freedom" (see 4.1.2.2);
--- Remove the "point system support structure" (see the 1995 edition 4.2.7);
--- Increase the chapter "environmental suitability" of the magnetic compass (see 417, 1995 edition 4.1.);
--- Remove the "mold" requirements and test methods [see 1995 edition 4.1b) and 5.7];
--- Increased "water" requirements and test methods (see
4.1.7.4 and 5.6.5);
--- Modify the chapter heading "azimuth error" (see 432, 1995 version 4.4.2.);
--- Removed "from the position of prevention" (see the 1995 edition 4.3.5);

This standard specifies the class B marine magnetic compass, binnacle and azimuth reading device (referred magnetic compass and accessories) requirements, test methods, test Rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage and so on. This standard applies to the gimbal with or without liquid magnetic compass. This standard does not apply to.
a) dry dial magnetic compass;
b) according to the above principle is different from the design of compass or does not comply with the given instructions compass.
Note. For less than 24m for the captain of a magnetic compass, this standard is no longer any rules.

3 Terms and Definitions
GB/T 3898 and defined the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Azimuth reader azimuthreadingdevice It can be measured to obtain celestial azimuth and distance DOA means, such as azimuth circle, azimuth mirror.
