GB/T 13025.7-2012 is the English-translated version of 制盐工业通用试验方法 碘的测定.
GB/T 13025.7-2012 is the part of the Chinese general test methods for the salt industry that covers the determination of iodine. Iodised salt is China's main vehicle for iodine supplementation, so the iodine content of a batch is both a quality figure and a public health one.
The standard gives three methods and says where each belongs: direct titration for the determination of iodine in salt iodised with iodate, redox titration for salt that contains iodine or reducing matter, and spectrophotometry for rapid determination.
The reagents and water follow GB/T 6682-2008. It was issued on 29 June 2012 and has been in force since 1 December 2012, replacing GB/T 13025.7-1999.

1 Scope

3.1.2 Reagents
3.1.2.1 Reagents Specifications Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical reagents and GB/T 66822-2008 specified tertiary water.
3.1.2.2 phosphoric acid solution (1mol/L) Measure 17mL85% phosphoric acid, diluted with water to 250mL.
3.1.2.3 potassium iodide solution (50g/L) Weigh 25.0g of potassium iodide, dissolved in water and diluted to 500mL, stored in a brown bottle, using now.
3.1.2.4 potassium iodate standard solution Accurately weigh 1.427g ± 2 °C drying to constant weight of potassium iodate reference reagent at 110 °C, placed in 150mL beaker, dissolved in water, Moved into 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water, shake, and this solution at a concentration of c (16KIO3 ) = 4.000 × 10-2mol/L. The above solution was diluted 20-fold accurate to give a concentration of c (16KIO3 ) = 2.000 × 10-3mol/L potassium iodate standard solution.
