GB 19109-2003 is the English-translated version of 次氯酸钙包装要求.
GB 19109-2003 specifies the requirements, performance tests and inspection rules for packaging containers used for calcium hypochlorite (including bleaching powder and high-strength bleaching powder), and applies to the packing of calcium hypochlorite; it adopts non-equivalently the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Model Regulations (12th revised edition), with fully consistent technical content on this substance, and Clauses 3, 4 and 5 and Annex A are mandatory.
Permitted packagings are removable-head plastics, steel or fibreboard drums and combination packagings of plastics inner packagings in fibreboard boxes up to 400 kg net, or removable-head plastics jerricans up to 120 kg net; bags are not allowed, plastics liners are used where needed against moist air, and packagings must bear the UN mark and meet Packing Group II requirements.
Test samples are filled to at least 95% with a solid simulant and undergo the drop test (plastics packagings conditioned to -18 °C, 1.2 m drop, orientations per Table 1) and the stacking test (fibreboard packagings conditioned at controlled temperature and humidity, 3 m stack height, P = ((H - h)/h) × m, 24 h, 28 days at 40 °C for plastics drums and jerricans).
Inspection rules set inspection periods of 1, 3 and 6 months and a packaging validity of 12 months from manufacture or from filling, and normative Annex A gives the rules of use: filling below 95%, the GB 190 oxidizing substance label, GB 15258 safety labels and cool, ventilated, dry storage.
