Scope

GB/T 1289-2022 is the English-translated version of 化学试剂 草酸钠.

GB/T 1289-2022 is the Chinese national standard on chemical reagent - sodium oxalate, in the field of chemical technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 30 December 2022 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2023. Classification: ICS 71.040.30, CCS G63. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting. This document replaces GB/T 1289-1994 "Chemical Reagent Sodium Oxalate". In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Changed the technical requirements of the content, the technical requirements of superior grades were increased from ">=99.8%" to ">=99.9%" (see Chapter 5,.1994 version 3.1);

--- Added the technical requirements and determination methods of two superior grades of magnesium and calcium (see Chapter 5, 6.10, 6.12);

--- Increased the determination method of potassium inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (see 6.11.1);

--- Changed the sample weight of the flame atomic absorption spectrometry method for potassium (see 6.11.2,

4.3.7 of the.1994 edition);

--- Added the method for the determination of iron inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (see 6.13.1);

--- Changed the inspection rules (see Chapter 7, Chapter 5 of the.1994 edition);

--- Changed the packaging and markings (see Chapter 8, Chapter 6 of the.1994 edition). Please note that some contents of this document may refer to patents.
