Scope
GB/T 10853-2008 is the English-translated version of 机构与机器科学词汇.
GB/T 10853-2008 is the Chinese national standard on terminology for the mechanism and machine science, in the field of mechanical systems and components. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 19 June 2008 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 January 2009. Classification: ICS 21.200, CCS J17. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
This revised standard adopts the International Federation of mechanism and machine science IFToMM (InternationalFederationforthePromo- tionofMechanismandMachineScience) 2003 to develop a "mechanism and machine science vocabulary" ( "Terminologyforthe MechanismandMachineScience "). To facilitate the use of this standard made the following modifications.
--- On the "scope" in the chapter number, numbered "1", therefore, the standard in Chapter 2, Section 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 7, Chapter 8, Chapter 9, respectively, equivalent to "TerminologyfortheMechanismandMachine Science "in Chapter 0, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Section 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6 and section 13;
--- Deleted "TerminologyfortheMechanismandMachineScience" the other chapters, in order to avoid with other relevant Repeat the national standards;
--- English Index amended accordingly, an increase of Chinese index. This standard is GB/T 10853-1989 "theory of machines and academic institutions phrase" amendments. Compared with GB/T 10853-1989, Lord To change the contents as follows:
--- Standard name changed to "scientific institutions and machine vocabulary";
--- The traditional institutions, such as cams, connecting rods and a combination of agencies into a chapter;
--- To meet the needs of research and development, the robot as a separate chapter, and increased content detection and vibration aspects;
--- Increased content dynamics. This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee Gear (SAC/TC52) proposed. This standard is under the jurisdiction of Zhengzhou Institute of machinery. This standard was drafted. Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society branch mechanical transmission mechanism Professional Committee. The main drafters of this standard. Zou Huijun, blue hui, Yu Yueqing, peak, Gao Yuan, Zhang Xianmin, Wangde Lun, Zhong Guo Wei, Han, Zhao, Zhang Yuru. This standard replaces the standards previously issued as follows:

This standard specifies the machine and institutional structure, kinematics, dynamics, machine control and measurement, robotics, mechatronics and other areas should be Term use. This standard applies to institutions and scientific machines, mechanical principles, mechanical design, testing technology, control theory, robotics and mechatronics, Used for the development of standards and technical guidance documents and preparation and translation of teaching materials, books, brochures and other publications. In terms of this standard, where allowed, separated by semicolons Synonyms, English abbreviations are given in parentheses. Allowed in Wen Synonyms (English terms generally correspond) given separately. A small amount given to Chinese synonyms italicized should be avoided.
