1 Scope

GB/T 10067.21-2015 is the Chinese national standard on basic specifications for electroheat installations - part 21: large capacity electric arc furnace using alternating current, in the field of manufacturing engineering. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 9 October 2015 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2016. Classification: ICS 25.180.10, CCS K61. This section GB/T 10067 specifies the large AC electric arc furnace product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and technical Grading, marking, packaging, transport and storage as well as ordering and delivery. This section applies to the rated capacity of 70t or more three-phase AC electric arc furnace steelmaking and for similar industrial large-scale or large electric arc furnace DC arc furnace for reference.
