Scope

GB 44506-2024 is the English-translated version of 人民警察警徽.

GB 44506-2024 is the mandatory Chinese national standard for the people's police emblem, covering its manufacture and inspection.

It fixes the pattern of the emblem - the national emblem set on a shield, with the Great Wall, pine branches and a ribbon - by means of a reference drawing and a proportion grid, and describes the curved relief shape of physical emblems.

It sets the colors - pure red, police emblem blue and 24 K gold - with chromaticity coordinates and tolerances for hanging and badge-type emblems, and L*a*b* values, four-color printing reference values and a maximum color difference of DeltaE 4.5 for printed emblems.

Hanging emblems come in five heights from 600 mm to 2 000 mm, with dimensions and permissible deviations laid down in a figure and a table; the document also covers test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage.
