1 Scope

GB 44504-2024 is the Chinese national standard on risk classification and service life of special production equipment for civil explosive materials, in the field of chemical technology. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 23 August 2024 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 December 2024. This document specifies the hazard categories, service life and management requirements of special equipment used in the production of civilian explosives. This document applies to the management of special production equipment for civilian explosives.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 14659 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 special production equipment for civil explosive materials The main production equipment is directly used for the production of civilian explosives and is prone to combustion and explosion accidents.

4 Hazard categories and service life

4.1 Civilian explosives production equipment can be divided into Class 0, Class I and Class II according to the danger of the place of use and the probability of accidents. and Class III. Their corresponding service life and hazard characteristics shall comply with the requirements of Table 1. Table

4.2 The hazard categories and service life of special production equipment for civil explosives shall be implemented in accordance with Appendix A.

4.3 The service life shall commence from the date the equipment is put into use.

5 Management requirements

5.1 Class 0, Class I and Class II civilian explosives production equipment shall be scrapped if any of the following conditions apply.
