Scope
GB 32028-2025 is the English-translated version of 投影机能效限定值及能效等级.
GB 32028-2025 specifies the energy efficiency grades, passive standby power limits and minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for projectors whose main function is projection, with high-pressure mercury lamp, laser or LED light sources and LCD, DLP or LCOS display devices; integrated rear projection units combining a screen and a projector are excluded.
Projection efficiency (light output divided by on mode power, in lm/W) is graded in three grades: for light output up to 1 300 lm the thresholds are 7.0, 5.0 and 2.5 lm/W, and above 1 300 lm they are 17.0, 14.0 and 9.0 lm/W, grade 3 being the minimum allowable value.
Passive standby power may not exceed 0.50 W for projectors below 1 000 W on mode power and 1.00 W at or above it, and external power supplies must also meet GB 20943; Annex A sets the test conditions, supply tolerances and instruments for measuring light output and on mode power, and Annex B the passive standby power test.
It replaces GB 32028-2015, changing the scope and the grade requirements, deleting the evaluating values of energy conservation, adding requirements for test signal generating equipment and revising test interfaces and input signals; projectors made before the implementation date are covered from the 13th month after it.

Foreword
This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB 32028-2015 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for projectors. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes compared with GB 32028-2015 are as follows:
a) the scope of the standard has been changed (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of the 2015 edition);
b) the definition of and requirements for the "evaluating values of energy conservation" have been deleted (see 3.7 and 4.4 of the 2015 edition);
c) the requirements for the energy efficiency grades of projectors have been changed (see 4.1; 4.1 of the 2015 edition);
d) requirements for test signal generating equipment have been added (see A.2.4);
e) the requirements for test interfaces and input signals have been changed (see A.4.1; A.4.1 of the 2015 edition).
