1 Scope

GB 30585-2024 is the Chinese national standard on safety technical specifications for infants' and children's footwear, in the field of clothing industry. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. This document defines the terms and definitions of infants' and children's footwear safety; specifies product classification, technical requirements, judgments; describes the corresponding test methods. 3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2703, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

4 Product classification

Children's footwear is divided into the following two categories according to the wearer.

6 Test methods

6.1 Broken needles Detect broken needles using a metal detector and/or visual inspection, hand touching, etc.

7 Determination

Determination shall be made in accordance with Chapter

5.If all the test results meet the requirements of Chapter 5, the sample shall be judged as qualified; otherwise, it shall be unqualified.

8 Implementation of the standard

For products produced or imported before the implementation date of this document, implementation shall begin from the 13th month from the date of implementation of this document.
