Scope

GB 29447-2022 is the English-translated version of 多晶硅和锗单位产品能源消耗限额.

GB 29447-2022 specifies the grades of energy consumption limit, technical requirements, statistical scope and calculation method for the energy consumption per unit product of polysilicon and germanium.

It applies to enterprises producing photovoltaic polysilicon by hydrogen reduction of trichlorosilane and to enterprises producing high-purity germanium tetrachloride, high-purity germanium dioxide, zone-refined germanium ingots and germanium single crystals, for energy calculation, assessment and the control of new, reconstructed and expanded projects; electronic-grade polysilicon and the silane fluidized bed process are excluded.

Three grades are set in kgce/kg: 7.5, 8.5 and 10.5 for polysilicon, and for germanium products from 0.92, 1.1 and 1.7 for germanium dioxide up to 7.8, 9.5 and 18.9 for zone-refined ingots, calculated on contained germanium metal; existing plants must meet Grade 3 and new or expanded plants Grade 2.

Clause 6 defines the statistical boundaries for each process chain and gives formulas for comprehensive and unit energy consumption, including corrections for purchased or sold trichlorosilane, hydrogen and silicon cores, and Annex A lists reference conversion coefficients to standard coal.

It replaces GB 29447-2012 and GB 29413-2012, changing the scope, the grade structure and the statistical scope, and deleting the requirements for semiconductor-grade polysilicon, the product energy level evaluation and the energy saving management clauses.

Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB 29447-2012 The norm of energy consumption per unit product of polysilicon enterprises and GB 29413-2012 The norm of energy consumption per unit product of germanium. Compared with GB 29447-2012 and GB 29413-2012, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) the scope has been changed (see Chapter 1; Chapter 1 of GB 29447-2012 and Chapter 1 of GB 29413-2012);

b) the terms and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3; Chapter 3 of GB 29447-2012 and Chapter 3 of GB 29413-2012);

c) the way the grades of energy consumption limit for polysilicon are divided has been changed (see 4.1; Chapter 4 of GB 29447-2012);

d) the way the grades of energy consumption limit for germanium are divided has been changed (see 4.2; Chapter 4 of GB 29413-2012);

e) the technical requirements have been changed (see Chapter 5; Chapter 4 of GB 29447-2012 and Chapter 4 of GB 29413-2012);

f) the energy consumption requirements for semiconductor-grade polysilicon have been deleted (see 4.4 of GB 29447-2012);

g) the content of the statistical scope and calculation method of energy consumption for polysilicon and germanium has been changed (see Chapter 6; Chapter 5 of GB 29447-2012 and Chapter 5 of GB 29413-2012);

h) the evaluation of the energy consumption level of enterprise products has been deleted (see Chapter 6 of GB 29413-2012);

i) energy saving management and measures have been deleted (see Chapter 6 of GB 29447-2012 and Chapter 7 of GB 29413-2012).
