GB 17498.1-2008 — This document specifies the classification and general safety requirements for indoor fixed fitness equipment (hereinafter referred to as fitness equipment), and describes the corresponding tests. Methods. Other parts of GB/T 17498 may modify the requirements in this document. This document also includes environmental factors. This document applies to all indoor stationary fitness equipment, including equipment whose use is specifically regulated by the owner (the person legally responsible). Locations with access and management authority, such as. sports associations, educational institutions, hotels, stadiums, clubs, rehabilitation centers, and studios (Category S and Category I). Training areas; also including household (Class H) and other types of equipment including electric equipment as specified in 3.1.GB/T 17498 Other Parts Additional special requirements take precedence over the corresponding requirements in this document. This document does not apply to outdoor fixed fitness equipment, nor to fitness equipment used by children under 14 years of age, except in schools. Or, in other educational settings, for educational purposes, under the guidance of a qualified adult.

Compared with GB 17498.1-2008, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);

---Added some terms and their definitions (see 3.3, 3.8~3.17), and deleted some terms (see 3.4, 3.6, 3.8 of the.2008 edition).

3.9, 3.11~3.14);

---Stability requirements have been changed. a condition for maintaining a stable state of fitness equipment has been added (see 5.2, 5.1 in the.2008 version);

---Added general rules for external structures, durability requirements, display load deviation requirements, heart rate measurement systems, heart rate control modes, and load requirements.

See 5.3.1, 5.9~5.11, and 5.13 for details.

Introduction

GB/T 17498 "Indoor Fixed Fitness Equipment" is divided into 9 parts. Part 1 covers general requirements, while the other parts cover specific requirements for particular equipment.

Special requirements. For fitness equipment covered by special requirements, the safety requirements are a combination of general requirements and these special requirements. GB/T 17498 is proposed.

It consists of 9 parts.

---Part 1.General Safety Requirements and Test Methods. This section describes the general safety requirements and test methods for indoor stationary fitness equipment.
