This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1 Scope

GB 16281 governs the system behind the fire emergency number: the equipment and software that takes the call, locates the incident, selects and dispatches the stations, tracks the appliances and records everything for the subsequent inquiry. It sets the functional requirements for call handling, dispatch, communication with the units and with other emergency services, the interfaces to the alarm receiving centres, the performance and reliability requirements including the behaviour under mass call load, the recording and playback, and the test methods and inspection rules. At 35,500 words it is one of the larger fire standards in the catalogue. Issued on 28 November 2024, in force since 1 December 2025, replacing GB 16281-2010. 3 Terms and definitions
