Scope

YY/T 1668-2019 is the English-translated version of 阵列式脉冲回波超声换能器的基本电声特性和测量方法.

YY/T 1668-2019 is the Chinese pharmaceutical industry standard that fixes the parameters describing the basic electroacoustic characteristics of an array pulse-echo ultrasonic transducer, together with the conditions, the methods and the steps by which they are measured.

It applies to piezoelectric array transducers working between 1.5 MHz and 15 MHz that are used with pulse-echo diagnostic systems, and covers among other things the pulse-echo response, the centre frequency and bandwidth, the sensitivity and the uniformity between elements. Issued on 24 July 2019, it has applied since 1 August 2021.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the characterization parameters, measurement conditions, measurement methods and steps of the basic electroacoustic characteristics of the array pulse echo ultrasonic transducer.

This standard is applicable to the use of piezoelectric transducers, operating frequency is 1.5MHz ~ 15MHz, coupled with ultrasound pulse echo diagnostic system Integrated array of ultrasonic transducers.

This standard applies to the electroacoustic characteristics and measurement methods of the transducer part of the ultrasonic probe.

Note. The definition and measurement methods of the electroacoustic characteristic parameters of the array pulse echo ultrasonic transducer are described in references [1] and [2].

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 2900.86, GB/T 2900.88 and GB/T 3102.7 apply to this document.

3.1 Transducing element energy-transducingelement, activeelement

A device that performs acoustic-electric and/or electrical-acoustic energy conversion in an ultrasonic transducer.

Note. The transducer components used in medical ultrasonic transducers today include piezoelectric ceramics, piezoelectric single crystals, piezoelectric polymers, piezoelectric composite materials and micro silicon drums.

3.2 Ultrasonic transducer

In the ultrasonic frequency range, it is possible to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy (sound energy) and/or to convert mechanical energy (sound energy) into electrical energy. Device.

Note. Medical ultrasound transducers typically consist of piezoelectric transducer elements, an acoustic impedance matching layer, a focusing acoustic lens, and a sound absorbing (damping) backing. Interacting with electroacoustics The physical properties of the device involved in the conversion are characteristic of the transducer.

3.3 Ultrasound probe

An overall generic term consisting of an ultrasonic transducer, an electrical shielding and mechanical protection housing, and an integrated cable.

Note. When using mechanical sector scanning method, the motor is also equipped with motor and transmission mechanism, which is filled with sound-permeable liquid; high-frequency plane linear array transducer, and some are equipped with charging. Liquid coupling pad.

3.4 Array transducer

An ultrasonic transducer arranged in an array by a plurality of transducer elements in a certain manner.
