YY/T 1085-2007 is the English-translated version of 毫瓦级超声源.

YY/T 1085-2007 is the recommended Chinese medical device standard for ultrasonic sources at milliwatt levels. It fixes the terms and definitions, the classification, the requirements and the test methods for these sources.

Its scope is the milliwatt-level ultrasonic power source used in medical ultrasound, made up of an ultrasonic transducer and its excitation source, which delivers a stable and known ultrasonic output power.

Such sources serve mainly in ultrasonic measurement laboratories for the routine comparison and verification of ultrasonic power measuring devices and of hydrophone measuring systems.

It quotes GB/T 3947-1996, GB/T 14368-1993, YY/T 1142-2003 and YY/T 1084-2007, and it replaces YY/T 91085-1999. Issued on 31 January 2007, it has applied since 1 January 2008.
