Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces YY/T 0514-2009 "Dental Phone Hose Connector". Major changes compared to YY/T 0514-2009 as follows.

--- Added Chapter 3 "Terms and Definitions";

--- Added requirements to outline and reprocess tolerance clauses;

--- Modified the original A-type, B-type, C-type and D-type connectors into Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 and Type 4 connectors;

--- Use symbols instead of the features described in the text, such as "<= phi1.65" instead of "phi1.65max";

--- Added Chapter 6 "Sampling";

--- Added Chapter 7, "Test Methods." This standard uses the redrafting method to modify the use of ISO 9168:2009 "dental pneumatic hoses for dental handpieces".

The main differences between this standard and ISO 9168:2009 are as follows.

--- Supplementary to the definition of hose connectors;

--- Fixed a bug in the two tolerances in Figure 2;

--- Cleared the reprocessing method of the mobile phone part and the hose part of the hose connector in 7.2;

---Delete the ISO preamble;

--- For other international standards cited in this standard, if it has been converted to Chinese standards, this standard will replace the referenced international standard number with Corresponding national or industry standard number, and indicate the adoption relationship in Chapter 2 of this standard.

1 Scope

The purpose of this standard is to achieve a reliable interchange between the dental treatment machine hose and the mobile phone.

This standard specifies four types of standard connectors for connecting pneumatic handpieces and dental treatment machine hoses, among which dental treatment The hose provides water, gas, light and exhaust to the phone.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 9937 apply to this document.

4 Classification

For the purposes of this standard, hose connections shall be designed in the following four types.

---1 type. The connector is equipped with 2 or 3 jacks and the connecting thread is characterized by 9/16-40 UNS.

---2 type. The connector is equipped with 4 or 5 jacks, and the connecting thread features 0.555-36 UNS.

---3 type. The connector is equipped with 4 jacks, several electrical contacts, and the connecting thread features 0.555-36 UNS.

---4 type. The connector is equipped with 3 jacks, and the connecting thread is characterized by M12×0.5 as specified in GB/T 193.
