1 Scope
This section YS/T 820 provides for the determination of copper content of nickel laterite ore.
This section applies to the determination of copper content of nickel laterite ore. Measurement range. 0.010% to 0.50%.
2 Method summary
Sample decomposition with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and perchloric acid. Salts dissolved in nitric acid, in dilute nitric acid medium atomic absorption spectrometer wave 324.8nm at length, using air - acetylene flame, copper measuring absorbance, calculate the amount of copper.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.
3.1 hydrochloride (rho1.19g/mL).
Nitrate 3.2 (rho1.42g/mL).
3.3 Hydrofluoric acid (rho1.15g/mL).
3.4 perchloric acid (rho1.67g/mL).
3.5 nitric acid (11).
3.6 copper standard stock solution. Weigh 1.0000g copper (wCu>=99.99%) placed in 400mL beaker, 50mL nitric acid (3.5) to dissolve completely get rid of nitrogen oxides and heated to boiling, cooled to room temperature and removed, transferred to 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water Degree, and mix. 1mL solution containing 1mg of copper.
3.7 Copper Standard Solution. Pipette 10.00mL copper standard stock solution (3.6) were placed in 100mL volumetric flask, was added 5mL of nitric acid (3.2), dilute to the mark, and mix the solution 1mL containing 100µg copper.
4 Instrument
Atomic absorption spectrometer, with copper hollow cathode lamp.
Under instrument conditions, who can achieve the following indicators atomic absorption spectrometer can be used.
--- Characteristic concentration. the test solution is consistent with the measurement of the solution, it features copper concentration should be less than 0.022µg/mL.
--- Precision. measure 10 times the absorbance of the highest concentration of the standard solution, the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance of 1.0%.
With the lowest standard solution (not a "zero" standard solution) absorbance measured 10 times, and the standard deviation should not exceed the maximum concentration of the standard solution 0.5% was the average absorbance;
--- Linear calibration curves. the curve according to concentration is divided into five parts, the difference between the absorbance of the absorbance difference between the highest and the lowest segment the ratio should not be less than 0.80.
