3 Summary of methods
The sample is decomposed by hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid
and perchloric acid. The salts are dissolved by hydrochloric acid.
4 Reagents
Unless otherwise stated, only reagents identified as superior grade and the
distilled or deionized water or water of comparable purity are used in the
analysis.
4.1 Hydrochloric acid (rho1.19 g/mL).
4.2 Hydrochloric acid (1 + 1).
4.7 Calcium standard stock solution. WEIGH 1.2486 g of calcium carbonate
(wCaCO3 >= 99.99%, which is dried in advance at 105 °C ± 5 °C and cooled in a
desiccator to room temperature); PLACE it in a 300 mL beaker; ADD 20 mL of
water; MIX it uniformly; COVER the watch glass; carefully ADD hydrochloric
acid (4.2) to dissolve calcium carbonate; ADD another 30 mL of hydrochloric
acid (4.2); BOIL it to remove carbon dioxide; REMOVE and COOL it to room
temperature; USE water to rinse the watch glass and beaker's wall;
4.9 Copper standard stock solution. WEIGH 0.2000 g of metal copper (wCu >=
99.95%); PLACE it in a 300 mL beaker; COVER the watch glass; slowly ADD
40 mL of nitric acid (4.4) to dissolve it at low temperature; DRIVE out the
nitrogen oxide; REMOVE and COOL it to room temperature; USE water to rinse
the watch glass and beaker's wall; TRANSFER it into a 1000 mL volumetric
flask; USE water to dilute it to the mark; MIX it uniformly. 1 mL of this solution
contains 0.2 mg of copper.
4.11 Manganese standard stock solution. WEIGH 1.0000 g of metal
manganese (wMn >= 99.95%); PLACE it in a 300 mL beaker; COVER the watch

7.5 Drawing of the working curve
On the inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometer, USE the
series standard blank solution (4.17), mixed standard solution B (4.16), mixed
standard solution A (4.15) to determine the intensity of emitted light of calcium,
cobalt, copper, magnesium, manganese, nickel and phosphorus, zinc.
Respectively USE the mass fraction of the determined elements as the
abscissa, the intensity of emitted light as the ordinate, the instrument
automatically draws the working curve.
8 Calculation of analytical results
The amount of the determined element is calculated by the mass fraction wx of
the determined element, the value is expressed in %, which is calculated
according to formula (1) and formula (2).
9 Precision
9.1 Repeatability
For the determined values of the two independent test results which are
obtained under repetitive conditions, within the average range given below, the
absolute difference between the two test results does not exceed the
repeatability limit (r);
9.2 Reproducibility
For the determined values of the two independent test results which are
obtained under repetitive conditions, within the average range given below, the
absolute difference between the two test results does not exceed the
reproducibility limit (R); those which exceeds the reproducibility limit (R) does
not exceed 5%.
