1 Scope
This section YS/T 820 specifies the method for determination of nickel laterite ore of zinc content.
This section applies to the determination of nickel laterite ore of zinc content. Measurement range. 0.010% to 1.00%.
2 Method summary
Sample decomposition with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and perchloric acid. In dilute hydrochloric acid medium, atomic absorption spectrometer at a wavelength of 213.9nm, Using air - acetylene flame measured absorbance of zinc.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.
3.1 hydrochloride (rho1.19g/mL).
Nitrate 3.2 (rho1.42g/mL).
3.3 Hydrofluoric acid (rho1.15g/mL).
3.4 perchloric acid (rho1.67g/mL).
3.5 hydrochloride (11).
3.6 standard zinc stock solution. Weigh 1.0000g cleaned surface of metallic zinc (wZn>=99.99%) placed in 250mL beaker, add 20mL of hydrochloric acid (3.5) and heated at low temperature to dissolve completely removed, cooled to room temperature. Moved into 1000mL volumetric flask, supplemented with 10mL Hydrochloric acid (3.1), dilute to the mark and mix. 1mL solution containing 1mg zinc.
3.7 Zinc standard solution. Pipette 10.00mL standard zinc stock solution (3.6) was placed in 500mL volumetric flask, was added 10mL of hydrochloric acid (3.1), dilute to the mark and mix. This solution 1mL containing 20µg zinc.
4 Instrument
Atomic absorption spectrometer, with zinc hollow cathode lamp.
Under instrument conditions, who can achieve the following indicators atomic absorption spectrometer can be used.
--- Characteristic concentration. the test solution and measurement matrix consistent solution, characterized in zinc concentration should not exceed 0.02µg/mL;
--- Precision. standard solution with the highest concentration of 10 times the absorbance measurements, the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance of 1.0%;
With the lowest standard solution (not a "zero" standard solution) absorbance measured 10 times, and the standard deviation should not exceed the maximum concentration of the standard solution 0.5% was the average absorbance;
--- Linear calibration curves. the curve according to concentration, is divided into five parts, the difference between the absorbance of the absorbance difference between the highest and the lowest segment the ratio should not be less than 0.80.
