YS/T 703-2014 is the English-translated version of 石灰石化学分析方法元素含量的测定 X射线荧光光谱法.

YS/T 703-2014 gives X-ray fluorescence methods for the composition of limestone, a raw material bought in bulk, where the laboratory needs the main components of each lot quickly and reliably. Method I measures calcium, magnesium, silicon, iron, aluminium and potassium on fused beads, over ranges of 42.50 % to 55.80 % CaO, 0.20 % to 10.70 % MgO, 0.15 % to 8.00 % SiO2, 0.050 % to 0.30 % Fe2O3, 0.12 % to 0.40 % Al2O3 and 0.04 % to 0.20 % K2O. Method II measures calcium, magnesium and silicon on pressed pellets, over 41.0 % to 65.0 % CaO, 0.30 % to 11.30 % MgO and 0.35 % to 5.50 % SiO2. Foreword

This document was issued on 14 October 2014 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, and has applied since 1 April 2015.

It replaces YS/T 703-2009.

It is a YS/T standard: a recommended industry standard of China's non-ferrous metals industry.

1 Scope

Method I of this standard specifies the determination methods for the contents of calcium, magnesium, silicon, iron, aluminum and potassium elements in fused limestone.

Method II of this standard specifies the determination methods for the contents of calcium, magnesium and silicon elements in tableted limestone.

Method I of this standard is applicable to the determination of element contents in limestone, and the determination ranges (expressed as oxides) are shown in Table 1.

Method II of this standard is applicable to the determination of element contents in limestone, and the determination ranges (expressed as oxides) are shown in Table 2.
