This part of YD/T 6825 specifies the grading method for industrial enterprises that apply the industrial Internet. For such networked industrial enterprises it gives the grading elements with explanations, and the scoring rules. It applies mainly to the classification and grading management of industrial Internet enterprise cybersecurity, and it is used by industrial enterprises applying the industrial Internet to carry out self-grading of their own cybersecurity.

The standard is voluntary, as the /T in its code shows. Industrial enterprises that use the industrial Internet are the principal users; consultants and assessment bodies that support them in grading can also work from it. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved it; it was issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard and Part 1 of a series, whose other parts deal with platform enterprises and identification resolution enterprises.
