Ammonium nitrate is a colorless and odorless transparent crystalline form of small particles or white, deliquescent. Soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, ammonia, dissolved Ether. Mainly used as fertilizer, analytical reagents, oxidants, refrigerants, fireworks and explosive materials. Ammonium nitrate main origin of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou East, Shandong and other provinces and cities.
In accordance with the United Nations "on the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods Model Regulations" (UNRTDG) classification, ammonium nitrate (containing combustible material Great at 0.2%, including any organic substance calculated as carbon, but does not include any other added substances) classified as Class 1.1D explosives, UN Code no. 0222; ammonium nitrate (containing not more than 0.2% combustible material, including any organic substance calculated as carbon, but does not include any other additives Quality) classified as class 5.1 oxidizing solid, UN No. 1942. Ammonium nitrate combustion, and the easy (to) fuel mixing or heating a sharp explosion occurs Fried. Initiation will be subject to strong vibration. Respiratory, eye and skin irritation. Contact can cause nausea, vomiting, headache, weakness, Collapse and so on. Exposure can cause methemoglobinemia, affecting the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood, cyanosis, headache, dizziness, exhaustion, and even death. Oral cause severe abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, shock, convulsions, coma and even death.
In March 2011 the State Council issued the "dangerous chemical safety regulations" [591 State Council Decree] provides for inspection and quarantine departments Responsible for the import and export of hazardous chemicals and their packaging implementation of the inspection. To ensure the effective inspection and quarantine to carry out related business, regulate the import and export of nitric acid Ammonium inspection procedures, the development of this standard.
