It takes the place of GB/T 17653-1999. Issued on 26 July 2006, it has applied since 11 October 2006.

QC/T 760-2006 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 26 July 2006 and has been in force since 11 October 2006.
2 Scope
This standard is the general specification issued by the Chinese automotive industry for four-wheeled all-terrain vehicles. It gives the terms and definitions used for these machines, the technical requirements they must satisfy, the test methods applied to them and the inspection rules, together with the requirements for marking, packaging, transport and storage. Its subject is the four-wheeled all-terrain vehicle, and it is classified T04 in the Chinese scheme and under ICS 43.020. Prepared as a modified adoption of ANSI/SVIA-2001, it quotes GB/T 191, GB 4569, GB/T 4570, GB 4599-1994 and parts 2 to 5 of GB/T 5359. It takes the place of GB/T 17653-1999.
